24                           Trivia / ASLingo… ASLingo is a sweet modern ASL version of Grandma’s old fav, Bingo. It is more fun than it seems!  The “caller”                                                          signs, N “DECIDE”, and you determine the handshape. Learn some new signs as you play. Double it up for a challenge. New game                                                                         from Gallaudet.  Triva TBA.  Possible prizes first come, first serve.  (Student Union downstairs 4-6p Subway closes 6p)

26                           Alaska State School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ASSDHH) is hosting a potluck AND a special guest from the lower 48 who is flying all the way to AK to tell everyone her exciting story.  She was a mainstreamed student with good grades and no interpreter.  Her parents requested an interpreter so she could meet other kids, BUT the school denied it!  The parents sued the school and guess what?!! The case went allllll the way to the Supreme Court!  This is an exciting opportunity to be exposed to the heart of the Deaf community! Make your way to Russian Jack’s Multi-purpose room, a trip worth it!

Look for a COOL NEW OCTOBER calendar thanks to Boris Sarpinskiyi who has volunteered to do some graphic design for the ASL Club!
